An international NGO in consultative status with the United Nations
Dr. Edwina E. Harris Hamby possesses over thirty-five years of
comprehensive experience in academic affairs, organizational analysis
and development, and institutional advancement including development/
fundraising, public relations, branding and marketing, grant writing, and
volunteer and staff management. A seasoned fundraiser, Dr. Hamby
has generated more than $675 million in private, federal and state
support for colleges, universities and non-profit organizations.

Prior to returning to Fisk University, her alma mater, in 2011, as Vice
President for Institutional Advancement, Dr. Hamby served several
institutions of higher learning: Tougaloo College; The City University of
New York system, Meharry Medical College; Vanderbilt University; and
Bowie State University.

She is a proud graduate of three Historically Black Colleges and
Universities: Fisk University (B.A.), Federal City College (now the
University of the District of Columbia - M.A.) and Jackson State
University (Ph.D.).
